VISIONS AND DREAMS ANALYSIS by Femi Obadun

Dear friend,God still speaks to people through dreams and visions and it is important that we know the meaning of whatever God may have shown to us.The knowledge of who you are,where you are going in life and the plans of God for your life matter a lot.Many people have perished for lack of knowledge, but that would not be your portion in Jesus name amen. This part of the blog will be dedicated to dreams and what they imply. 
  

 Let us consider the following verses of Joseph's dream (Genesis 37.5-9)
⁵ And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.
⁶ And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed:
⁷ For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.
⁸ And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.
⁹ And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.

ANALYSIS OF THE ABOVE DREAM AND HOW YOU CAN APPLY IT TO YOURS
1. The field,sheaf or sheaves: God will use what you are familiar with to speak to you in dreams.In this case, the occupation of the house of Jacob was farming and so God decided to use figures from their occupation.God does not bring complications to the one He intends to relate a message to through dreams.If you are dreaming of things that are beyond your familiar terrain,it is likely that such dream may not have it's source in God.He is more likely to use figures from your trade or occupation to deliver a message to you.
2.Joseph remembered the dream so clearly.If God will speak to you through dream,He will also make sure that you remember it very clearly.If the dream has it's source in the devil,one may wake up confused and try to remember the dream.The reason for this is because the devil is a deceiver and a killer and he would want to engage you to visit a false prophet where you will be deceived the more.Our God is not a God of confusion!
3.The Sun,the Moon and the eleven Stars all depict glory and great future.Though in this case they depict his father and mother and the other siblings.But we know that they were all great people.It got to a point that Joseph became so great in the land of Egypt and they actually bowed to him.The point here is this;Jacob and his entire household were stars indeed.God made them great.The Sun has it's glory,the Moon has it's own and the Stars have theirs as well.If God would want to show you that your future is great,He can decide to use any of the above.When God wanted to assure Abraham of his future greatness,He took him outside and showed him the stars in the sky.(Genesis 15.15) -----  to be continued
