The first humans who were created at Eden
sinned willfully against God; they rebelled against his commandment and
consequently were sent out of the garden. Also, the ground on which they would
later dwell was cursed (Gen 3:17-19) That was the beginning of man’s struggle
for survival. The word ‘curse’ as commonly used today can be categorized into
two broad types’ vis. General curse which is on the entire human race and
specific curse which can be placed on individual. Anyone born of a woman is
operating under the general generational curse which has its beginning in the Garden
of Eden (Psalm 51:5). The major cause of this curse is disobedience to the
commandment of God, and the consequence of such misconduct is struggling for
survival which may also lead to physical death. Until a person receives eternal
life by being recreated in his spirit, this curse runs steadily in his or her
life. But unfortunately in our world today, majority of people are less
concerned about this general curse which even has deadlier effects than the
specific curses we are all familiar with. Nothing can
attract displeasure from God and expose us to attacks from the camp of Satan than
living a life of disobedience to His rules. It’s quite sad to note that
many of our friends, loved ones and neighbours appeared fulfilled because they
are rich, influential and comfortable, but are less bothered that they live
everyday in gross disobedience to their maker. What else can be responsible for
untimely deaths of young executives with promising career, but who lives
carelessly in worldly pleasures? Or what would you attribute the case of
someone who has been building a strong business till he got to his mid- age,
when he ought to retire to enjoy the fruits of his labour, but another person
came, took over his business, leaving him in debts and unending court cases? Folks,
curses, general and or specific, without mincing words are at the root of scenarios
described above. Yes, I know that someone who is reading this may try to give
other scientific, intellectual, philosophical and psychological reasons that
could lead to failure other than the spiritual curses that have been identified.
But be not deceived, dear friends, there exists no other reason(s) that can
lead to failure
besides operating in either one or both categories of curses identified
here and the only unifying cause of it is an habitual and defiled lifestyle of
sin. I will like to give few examples of the effects of specific curses. Marital
curse, - a situation whereby women in a particular family don’t get married
until very late and advanced in years or the women would always be divorced for
example, such are generational curses. Another example which I read about
recently is the case of a family in which all the ladies from their
grandparents downwards bed wet. You might also be operating under a curse if,
having done all things necessary to make progress in your career, business,
study, family etc, what you are experiencing is disappointment and setback. For
instance, the womb that should produce healthy children, having been medically
proven to be fit, may be cursed to become barren or bear sickly children. When
a man, having graduated with a first class degree/PhD and the only employment
he can use that certificate for is being a public primary school teacher in the
remotest part of the country, he may be operating under a curse. If there is a
trend in a family whereby, no one crosses the age of forty or so before death
comes, a generational curse is in full force. If you have a particular talent
and you are aware of it in your inner self, that unique gift is expected to
make a way for you to prosper financially and be successful. But if instead,
you have become wretched and helpless, even roaming the street in confusion and
frustration, then you need urgent deliverance, for a familiar spirit - induced
curse is fully in control.
But thanks be to
God, for He has made a way out for us regardless of whatever kind of curses
might have befallen us heretofore. The blood of Jesus cleanses from all sins
(1Jn 1:7) and their effects. And so the antidote for the Adamic generational
curse is made available through the death and resurrection of Christ.
Therefore, all you need to do is to repent of your sins and accept his offer of
salvation. The Bible declares that the weapons of our warfare are designed to
pull down strongholds. A specific curse that operates in any life is indeed a
stronghold that stands against the happiness of such a person. There is a
solution in the name of Christ to reverse any unpleasant trend in your life,
family and business. It’s a time tested one which cannot fail, if only you open
your mind and call upon the name of the Lord to deliver you. Someone has been
delivered from 38 years of paralysis, another from 12 years issue of blood. The
writer of this piece was also completely delivered 5 years ago from an
everyday depression that lasted for 21 years, a sickness that later became life
threatening and forced him out of a lucrative employment. Several others have
been delivered from bareness ranging from 5-30 years of marriage, even defying
post menstruation stage. A number of
people have also been set free from terminal diseases like cancer, HIV etc. Dear
readers, I’m presenting to you the almighty God through his son Jesus Christ
who has been doing good from the days of old heretofore(Acts 10:38). I am a
witness among others to his healing power and deliverance. Whatever you are
going through right now, if only you will believe and pray, the same spirit who
is writing this piece through me, will come into you and heal you instantly,
praise the Lord. If my story has changed from bad to good health and from
depressed to excellent mind, and we all have access to the same God, I have no
doubt that your own situation can also
change and that should begin from this moment, amen.
