Sometimes, the reason people follow after false ministers is because they use the name of Jesus. Does calling the name of Jesus validate any minister? At Gal.1:6-9, we see Paul speak of the possibility of being taught another gospel which is a perversion of the real thing. At 2 Cor.11:4, He spoke of the possibility of receiving another spirit. And then in the same vein, he says it's possible someone preaches another Jesus.
Another Jesus!
The name Jesus means the same as the Hebrew name Joshua. In the early church, at Acts 13:7 we spot a man named, Bar-Jesus, meaning son of Jesus ( Same way, Peter was Bar-Jonah). Several occult books mention a certain Jesus with reverence attached. This does not mean they are of Christ. Miracles happening at the mention of Jesus also doesn't mean they are done in the name of Jesus, the Christ. At Matthew 7:23, many
came to Him claiming they worked miracles in His name, but He said to them, 'I NEVER KNEW YOU.' He didn't say, I know you no more. Their paths never crossed. They never met.
What then proves you're following the Lord Jesus or the many other 'Jesuses'?
Believing and doing His word! Jesus is called the Word of God. You don't receive a man if you don't receive his words. You don't honour Him if you don't honour His word. Working miracles with several methods apart from following His word and Spirit is still false even if you add the name to it a million times. There are many diabolical prayers in our time yet people fall victims because the name Jesus is used as a camouflage. Also, any man preaching the word yet prescribing things contrary to the word for healing and miracles is a master deceiver. It's not about preaching the word, but believing it. If you believe the word, you won't offer anti-word methods.
It's not about the results which sometimes, occult men boast about too. It's about following due process. Staying true to His word in word and deed. Proclaiming His name through His Word. By way of personal principle, I don't trust the source of miracles where the word is given no place. It's risky.

By their fruits we shall know them, by the grace and divine wisdom of God we know them (false prophets), but we are told in the holy scriptures that we shouldn't judge them, for the sheep will be separated from the goats and every hidden things will be laid bare. Amen!
