Q: My aunt is really into things like fortune-telling and astrology. She says she even thinks it's possible to make contact with the spirits of dead people. Is this just a harmless hobby (like she claims it is), or could it be something more? A: Your aunt may have convinced herself that this is only a harmless hobby—but in reality it’s not.
Why is this? One reason is because even if she thinks it’s only a hobby, your aunt wouldn’t be pursuing it if she didn’t think these things were actually true. In addition (as you indicate elsewhere in your letter), her interest in these things has grown over the years, indicating that she is taking them more and more seriously. Can she look you in the eye and say she knows they are false and will only mislead her? I doubt it. The Bible says, “An honest witness does not deceive, but a false witness pours out lies” (Proverbs 14:5).
But not only is she in danger of believing things that aren’t true, she also is in danger of becoming involved with spiritual occult powers that are hostile to God. They will do everything they can to bind themselves to her and lead her away from God—and nothing could be more serious This is why the Bible says, “Let no one be found among you … who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens … or who consults the dead” (Deuteronomy 18:10-11).
Pray for your aunt, that she will not only turn from these practices, but she will turn to Jesus Christ and find her hope and security in Him. God alone knows the future, and when we know Christ, we know we can trust our lives and our futures into His hands—both now and for all eternity.
When I was seven years old, my father bought me my first bicycle. I had
never ridden one. Patiently, my family and friends tried to teach me the
art of cycling. I soon found out there was one thing I must do if I was
to stay on the bicycle—keep moving forward. If I ceased to go forward, I
would fall and hurt myself. So it is in the Christian life. We can
never live this life on the highest plane unless we are continually
growing and moving forward. You should be closer to God today in heart,
soul, and body, than at any other time so far in your life.
These friends say exactly what you want
them to say. They do exactly what you want them to do. To put it
bluntly, they are groupies, not friends. Groupies think their respective
group, player, etc. hung the moon. The person they admire could
open-hand slap an old lady on a cane, and a groupie would find some way
to justify it.
These friends don’t really love you.
They are infatuated with something you have. Popularity. Looks.
Athleticism. But they aren’t concerned with pointing you to God and
challenging you to be the best man or woman you can be.
Friends who love you and want you to succeed point out flaws.
Friends who love you and want you to succeed will point out your inconsistencies.
They don’t enjoy doing this. But, with
love and grace, they step into difficult conversations because they
can’t bear to watch you continue down a path that might lead to
destruction.
2) The “not that serious about God” friend
You know these friends. They usually go
to worship on Sunday. They might go on a foreign mission trip. But
Let us continue to pray for our president and the country.The word of God says that If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and
pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I

Rev. Billy Graham believes that to be a Christian is in itself a gift
as well as a God-given opportunity, instead of a burden, to
non-religious members of one's family.
The 97-year-old evangelical leader and founder of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association wrote on the organization's website on Tuesday, May 24, about the role of Christians to non-believers especially those who are within one's family circle.
God hasn't called you to avoid
unbelievers, but to help them and point them to Christ," Graham wrote as a
reminder to Christians.
Anne Graham Lotz believes that God is keeping her 97-year-old
father alive and kicking for a reason. This reason, she says, may be
connected to the coming end of this age.
Lotz, founder of AnGel Ministries,
author of "The Daniel Prayer: Prayer That Moves Heaven and Changes
Nation," and chairwoman of the National Day of Prayer, addressed the
conference crowd of "Watchmen on the Wall" during the Family Research

When I read about it ,I almost believed it and was really excited about the reunion.It really makes sad that the two could not reconcile their differences.I do not understand why.Is the Holy Ghost not living in the heart of both of them or one of them? We as Children of God must never make any move to avenge ourselves under
any circumstance. You can be sure that God will surely fight on your
behalf according to His word. God will avenge His people upon their
adversaries; He will not allow any unrepentant sinner to go unpunished.
You must know that God does not want the death of any sinner; therefore,
He will make ways for repentance by making a reasonably long period of
grace available to sinners and adversaries alike. But you can be sure
that at the right time, He will make good His promises to His people,
and they will be avenged of their enemies. But, because His mercy
endures forever, He will even send several warnings to the enemies to
prompt then towards repentance as record in Isaiah 47:3:

Crouch and her husband, the late Paul Crouch, founded the Trinity Broadcasting Network in 1973. She produced multiple television programs including Praise The Lord, The Glory of America and Say Yes. Paul Crouch passed away in 2013.
Crouch appeared to be in good health. Earlier this month, she was seen on the back of a motorcycle with pastor Phil Aguilar at a Kenneth Copeland motorcycle rally.

Scriptures are very clear about making requests in prayer. Jesus said
“For every one that asketh receiveth (Matthew 7:8). However, the
challenge with some folks is that when they pray, instead of doing
exactly what the Master said asking and receiving, they complain to God
about their situation. Jesus didn’t say “When you pray, complain to God
about the matter and He will hear you.” Rather, He said ask and it shall
be given you.

I have seeing the preacher on TV once or twice.He runs a prophetic ministry.Though it is quite good for preachers to give to charity, but let it not be used as a strategy for church growth or luring people into the church.Preachers adopt all kinds of strategies nowadays to lure members unto themselves.We must be very sensitive and watchful.Preacher whose concern is not to see that members are genuinely saved and fit for heaven but only to keep increasing his Church attendance is not serving Christ but himself.I am only writing objectively, I am not judging the preacher.Who makes me a judge? But I think that we should not lose focus as preachers even as we give to charity.The word of God in the heart,doing its real work in that heart is more important than cars and houses.

Why do I say this? First, because some day you will die and enter the presence of God—and right now you are unprepared for that solemn event. Perhaps you have convinced yourself that death is the end and you’ll never have to stand before God … or perhaps you simply have shoved such thoughts out of your mind. But death is real, and so is God’s judgment—but so too is God’s offer of forgiveness and salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “My Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life” (John 6:40).
I also urge you not to turn your back on Christ for another reason: Life’s greatest joy comes from knowing Christ and following Him. Have
you ever wondered why God placed us on this planet? What our purpose is
in being here? It is because God is love. There may be life on other
planets, but I believe man is unique in the sense that he was created in
the image of God. God created on this planet as it were “little gods”
whom He could love and who would return love to Him. Reverently
speaking, God was lonely. He wanted someone to love and who would return
love to Him. That sounds incredible, but the Bible tells us that God
loved, and so He created and put us on this planet.
Some theological students were walking along a street in the White
Chapel district of London, a section where old and used clothing is
sold. "What a fitting illustration all these make!", exclaimed one of
the students as he pointed to suit of clothes hanging on a rack by a
window. A sign on it reads: SLIGHTLY SOILED - GREATLY REDUCED IN PRICE.
He continued, "We get soiled by gazing
at vulgar picture, reading a course book, or allowing ourselves a little
indulgence in dishonest or lustful thoughts; and so when the time comes
for our character to be appraised, we are greatly reduced in value. Our

We are learning the danger of focusing on oneself .The danger of self love.The Greek youth Nasrcissus saw his own image in the waters of a pond,He fell in love with it and when he found out that the image was his own reflection,and that he could not imaging his love for himself,he despaired and drowned himself.The word of God says thus: He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.(John 12.25).The problem with too many people is their over-love of themselves.In ancient Greek mythology,the hero Persus killed Gorgon medusa using the mirror effect.How did he do it? Medusa had the hair of serpents,protruding tongues and massive teeth.Such a dreadful creature, how could one deal with her? .Persus shined his bronze shield to create a mirror effect and then focused it on Medusa.She was so consumed by her own reflection,not mindful of the presence of Persus.She focused on herself and so the mighty dreadful woman was killed.Esau in the Bible was only bothered with his body,he could not imagine himself go hungry, he could not endure hardship of his own body for a moment and so he sold his own birthright.Dear friend,Jesus Christ did not love his life even till the point of death on the cross,and that was why He became highly exalted.If we want power from God and real success in life,we must not focus attention only on ourselves,we must look also into helping others,carrying their burdens as much as we can.God bless you.

2 Samuel 7:27. ''For thou, O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, hast
revealed to thy servant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore
hath thy servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto thee.''
This was David coming to God after God directed Nathan to tell him that
his household would be established forever by God because David
conceived in his heart to build a house for the Ark of Covenant (the
presence of God). David was meek and spiritually alive enough to
understand that he could not have had
such a "good" intention conceived within him but by the grace and power
of Gods revelation to him and so did the right thing in acknowledging
God for his (David) well conceived prayer to God to build a house for
the Ark.
How often have we
had a good idea planted in our hearts by God and then gone ahead after
execution to assume the airs that say, "I did this or that because I am a
noble and good man and know how to do good deeds"? When we understand
that there is none good but the Father and that any good that comes into
and out of us is a revelation to us from God for his good purpose by
grace, we will more likely depart from our proud assumptions about
ourselves and learn true humility that comes from understanding that any
good that comes into and out of our lives is by the special favor and
grace of God.
Believe me, in that state of being, we will see
the blessings and mercies of God flow more abundantly in our lives and
we will be more sensitive and compassionate to others who have yet to
experience such levels of grace and favor (because we then know that we
have experienced it not because we earned it but but by grace.....sort
of like a person born into a wealthy family when he/she actually wasn't
in any position to determine that or vice Versa).

During the service today,he spoke just for about 10 minutes, because the whole time allotted for preaching was actually taken over by the Holy Ghost who lead everyone including himself into deep worship and praise.It was an awesome moment! however ,for the brief time he spoke,he talked about how Praise and Worship can help any true worshiper achieve the following;
1.Breaking of chains and improving quality of life.He made reference to Paul and Silas while in prison in Acts 16.25-34.The quality of the life of a prisoner is usually a debased and low keyed one, but for the deep praise and worship made by Paul and Silas,their chains were broken and they were made free from a low quality life into a life of freedom and glory.
2.In Acts 13.2 'While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said,
“Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called
them.” ESV.What it implies is that when you engage in praise and worship to God,your purpose in life shall be revealed to you.It is very important for each of us to have direction and know our purpose in life.Praise can enable you achieve that.

You can choose to be
anything he or she wants before the Almighty God. You can just be a
creature, a dog or a cow. You can go beyond being a mere creature to
becoming a servant. Being a servant gives you more personal access to
God. But you could go yet another step – to becoming a son of God. Sons
have tremendous opportunities that servants do not have. As a son of
God, you become a co-heir with Christ. That means all God’s possessions
jointly belong to Jesus and you. Besides, John 8:35 says sons abide in
the house forever. No wonder David in Psalms 23:6 says," Surely goodness

knows better.However dear friend,Whenever we hear of this kind of
allegation, it is for us to pray for the leaders and not to continue to
deride or castigate them or be discouraged from following the Lord
further.But one thing I usually think about is this; Why is it that some
notable pastors have never been accused of this kind of scandal since
inception of their pastoral calling?,we have never heard of this kind
said of Pastor Adeboye of the Redeemed Church,Evangelist Billy

that there might be a lot to learn from these uncontroversial pastors
