ANOTHER LONGEVITY STORY:QUEEN ELIZABETH II TURNS 90

Few Hours ago i wrote about Evangelist Billy Graham who will be turning 98 later in the year and now we have another  sweet story of longevity of the Queen who has just turned 90.I feel we should just tap into the grace of long life which God has bestowed upon these people and many others. Just as they have grown old gracefully, may God grant us the grace to live long and become more useful in his kingdom here.

Queen Elizabeth II

Queen Elizabeth and Prince George
Queen receiving Prime minister David Cameron

She is already the longest-reigning and oldest British monarch, but on Thursday the Queen reaches another milestone when she becomes the first to turn 90.
While she has naturally enjoyed a privileged life, few will deny that she has worked constantly and devotedly for this country and its people.

Elizabeth came to the throne when she was remarkably young – younger than her grandson Harry is now – on the death of her father, George VI.
Yet she took on the mantle of the nation’s uniting, healing head and has remained steadfastly there.
Days from turning 90 she is still at it. Still working. Still being the monarch admired throughout the world.
Presidents and prime ministers come and go, but the Queen goes on. It is hard to imagine a United Kingdom without her.
As she reaches this special birthday, she can not only look back on her reign with genuine satisfaction but forward to the succession which is probably guaranteed into the next century.
At some time long in the future, there will be another King George, a new monarch bearing the name of the Queen’s father . She must take particular pleasure in that.
She would be the first to say she could not have achieved all she has without the support of Prince Philip.
And the tribulations of her children and their complicated personal lives have made Elizabeth a modern monarch with a real insight into how millions of her subjects live.
Have a very happy birthday, Your Majesty.
