3 WAYS THROUGH WHICH ONE CAN SURVIVE WHEN FACED WITH AN UNEXPECTED SITUATION by Femi Obadun

My reference is the book of Acts 28:1-10.While Paul was sailing to Italy together with some prisoners to be tried by Ceaser for his faith in Christ,they had a shipwreck,but they escaped unhurt and were brought to certain Island called Melita.On that Island,a viper came to hurt Paul and again he overcame it,he was unhurt.God saw him through those distresses and i pray that as you read this piece this day,that same God will see you through every distress and give you victories and testimonies in Jesus name.

Apostle Paul shook off the viper into the fire

Apostle Paul did 3 things which i would want us to learn from this day;
1.In any distress situation that we may be faced with,we must keep silent to every negative word spoken to us.The barbarous people of the Island,that is, the natives of the place were mocking Paul,cursing him and deriding him while the viper clung to his body,but instead of allowing himself to be distracted by their mockery,he kept mute and focused on overcoming the evil.You do not need to answer those who vehemently oppose or wish for your downfall as you journey in life,all you need is to focus your attention on God,for He will surely give you victory.

2.Let the power of God in you remain intact,never let it be depleted by reason of the pressure or distress.Keep the fire of prayers burning.Never focus on the challenges but rather on the power that can overcome them. I believe that while the beast was on Paul's body,instead of him screaming and seeking help where there was none,he was praying silently.He kept the faith intact.He never allowed the problem to take the place of prayer in his life.We should never allow our problem to take us to such places where it will be compounded.We should never sound the trumpet of our problem before mockers.They will mock us the more and offer no help afterward.
3.You need courage to take a decisive positive and victorious action.If you do that,God is bound by his word to back you up.He likes courageous people.That is why he told Joshua to be strong and courageous.Apostle Paul,having prayed to God and believed,it was time to take a decisive action.He shook off the viper into the fire! Friend,if you will need to take some drastic and positive actions,even though it may be tough but that it will surely lead to your victory,do not hesitate to take it.I can assure you that if you have prayed to God indeed,i mean an effective prayer of faith,He must surely see you through.
