ANOINTING FOR SPEED IN THE RACE OF LIFE; MORNING EXHORTATION FOR SATURDAY 23 APRIL 2016

45</sup> And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.
⁴⁶ And the hand of the Lord was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel. - 1 Kings 18.45-46
After the mount Carmel victory of prophet Elijah, wherein the false prophets of Baal were utterly destroyed,Elijah continued to pray for rain in order to end the 3 years of drought which had befallen the land.When the signs were clear that there would be heavy rain and for the rain not to beat them,Elijah instructed the king to prepare his chariot and leave immediately.King Ahab rode on his Chariot to the town while the prophet ran with his legs.In spite of what seems to be a constraint,the prophet got to the town before the king who rode on a chariot.Does it not sound amazing to you? What makes the difference? It was the anointing of God that was upon the prophet.Prior to this time, it was the same anointing that made him go to the top of mount Carmel to pray continually for rain,even when he saw a small sign of rain in the sky,he never stopped praying.Friend,you will receive the anointing for speed in your race of life but you must not
stop praying and keep believing in the God of miracles.Even when it seems as if things are now looking up,that is,a breakthrough is about to happen in your life,just remember that Elijah did not stop praying even when the signs of abundance of rain were so obvious.Again i would want you to believe this today that it does not matter who may have gone ahead of you now.It does not matter what they possess now.With the grace of God that is upon your life,you will sooner or later outrun them just as the prophet outran the king.Others may have all the advantages in life just as the king had (for he rode on his chariot) and all you have is the power of God,the anointing and the ability to pray,without doubt,if you do not give up praying,God will elevate you and the world will celebrate you.God bless you.
