Friend,
the heartbeat of the writer of the 127-page book is not just for you to succeed
in your field, but for you to get to the top. In a systematic style that is
typical of a good writer and teacher of the word, whose career in ministry now
spans over 30 years, he wants you first and foremost to have a clearer
understanding of what success really means when reconciled
to the revealed word of God. He writes that,.
Success
is not synonymous to material acquisition or being in top position in career
life; rather, it is in knowing God’s plan and purpose for your life and press
on daily to carry out that purpose. It is when your reason for being on planet
earth is known and the ability to actualize it is released into your spirit
when you get converted, that that ‘sweatless’ wealth wades into your world. The
death of Christ on the cross makes that possible, he affirms that it is a
misnomer for a born again believer to continue to struggle through life.
In
Chapter 2, he identifies
common factors in the lives of successful people in the bible.These factors include
devotion and wisdom; wisdom gives birth to direction and discretion. Devotion
leads to having access to divine revelation which gives insights and
illumination to your mind and then opens you to the vista of divine and unique
secrets you need to apply in order to forge ahead in your vision.
This takes us
to chapter 3 where the writer affirms that, there must be a clear cut vision of
where you are heading in life, this is what is referred to as having the right
bearing without which the vision cannot bear any fruit and the visionary cannot
stay atop, this right bearing is not based on human strong will ,rather on his
spiritual stamina, that is, of his strong connection with God, when you stay
connected to God, he will deliver to you a visionary bearing. Yet a clear cut
vision from God and even with the right bearing, without having a role model
which the bible also recommends, could make the journey very slow, without
strength and unstable. Many in this present charismatic movement have missed it
in this area, he expresses.
Bishop Oyedepo takes you deeper into the secrets of
real success by revealing it in chapter 4, that even with a mentor or a role
model, the place of faith in your drive to succeed cannot be discounted. He
compares this to the computer with all of its virtues and wonderful programs
that are meant to make your work faster, yet if it is not connected to the
power point, it becomes useless. For the believer to tap into the stored up
riches in Christ, faith must be applied to achieve it. Another factor that
could ignite success is your belief system. He points out two types of belief
system which include natural belief system and biblical belief system. While
the former could deliver success to anyone, yet it does not guarantee safety
from satanic manipulations, the later deliver real success without a pinch of
sorrow added to it and it also secures your ability to stay at the top.
