The devil sometimes can make the one who is sick or depressed believe that God actually has a hand in the unpleasant situation facing the person and that God only wants to use it to teach  him or her a lesson. If the person accepts this suggestion from the devil,it might be a road block to his healing or quick restoration or recovery.Oftentimes, people cite the example of Job in the scriptures.They usually say that it was God who tested him.No, God does not test anyone with evil! Job became terribly sick and he lost all his properties.Life became unbearable and his wife even advised him to curse God and die.God did not put the sickness upon his faithful
servant.God only allowed it to happen to him, God allowed it to happen to him because of his lack of knowledge of who he was as a faithful servant of God.The devil capitalized on his ignorance.Read Job 2.6,'And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.' The major problem that Job had was 'fear'. That was what the devil used in penetrating his life and thus was able to afflict him with the sickness.While the sickness was gradually setting in,instead of him to take a position of authority against sicknesses and diseases,he refused but began to be afraid and confessing negative things.He says in Job 3.25 thus ' For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.' Friend, you can see it that God did not test Job's faith and faithfulness to him by sickness,rather it was his opening to the devil through negative confessions and fear that brought the ailment into his life.But thanks be to God that in everything that happened to Him,the faithful God saw him through and made his latter end far better than the beginning.He recovered everything that he lost and God was glorified in his restoration.Dear friend,never allow fear and negative thoughts to control your state of mind.Take charge and you will always be in charge.God bless you.
