  Dr Paul Enenche writes on 'Favor and your Character'.He says Character is the doorway to favor.He cites example on how the inner beauty of great character of Esther in the palace of the old Persian emperor gave her favor.Her character made her outstanding.While other contestants to the office of the queen focused on outward decoration of their bodies,the young lady's character with her natural beauty made her won the contest (Esther 2.16-17) Content is superior to container.He writes about a man whom he once gave a pair of shoe as a mantle, but the man sold it.I will say that was bankruptcy of character and lack of wisdom.The gift given to him by the man of God should never have been sold at all.No matter how tough the situation may be with us at any point in our lives' journey,we must never attempt to negotiate the gift of God in our lives for temporary things.We must learn to endure and hold on to God in-spite of every challenge.The woman at home must build her character if she wants to receive favor from her husband.The husband in turn must show strong character if he wants to command respect from both the wife and the children.May God give us all the grace to build our characters in the light of his Word and thus shall we continue to enjoy God's favor in every aspect of our lives in Jesus name amen.God bless you.
