SOMEONE SAYS THAT IF YOU VISIT THE DOCTOR,IT MEANS YOU SERVE SATAN!

Yesterday, I met a 50- year old man and we had light  interaction about Christianity.In the course of our interaction, I got to know that he belongs to a christian group known as Faith Tabernacle Congregation.He told me that they do not circumstance their male and it is forbidden for them to visit the doctor for medical attention.That made me to search the internet to know more about this group.On a particular site, I got a piece about this group which goes thus:

The deceased child’s father is a member of a group called “Faith Tabernacle Congregation,” which teaches members not to seek medical care or visit doctors.

Faith Tabernacle is another example of the type of destructive fringe groups often responsible for deaths due to medical neglect.

But the group’s members certainly don’t feel responsible.
The dead child’s aunt said when people die “God wants that person. He takes life. He gives life.”
Well, if authorities find out that the boy’s death could have been prevented through proper medical care, someone will be wanted on criminal charges and eventually be taken to jail.''
 MY VIEW
The Bible does not forbid seeking medical attention,Paul the Apostle advised Timothy to look outside spiritual application for the stomach trouble he had. ^''Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities''.(1Timothey 5.23). I see the usage of wine in this context as a medicine useful to cure the trouble which Timothy had.Luke the writer of the gospel according to Luke as well as the book of Acts was a physician who was well known for his medical practice and yet he was a notable figure in the new testament.I advice people to lay aside useless doctrines that have no bearing with the salvation of the soul and preparation of same for heaven.Many people have died prematurely or unnecessarily as a result of this kind of doctrine and I urge you not to allow yourself fall a victim of such.
