Answer:
Neither your cousin nor I can “talk you into” giving your life to Jesus—but God can, and I pray you won’t shut your heart and mind to the voice of His Spirit. If you do, it will be the most serious mistake you will ever make.

Why do I say this? First, because some day you will die and enter the presence of God—and right now you are unprepared for that solemn event. Perhaps you have convinced yourself that death is the end and you’ll never have to stand before God … or perhaps you simply have shoved such thoughts out of your mind. But death is real, and so is God’s judgment—but so too is God’s offer of forgiveness and salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “My Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life” (John 6:40).

I also urge you not to turn your back on Christ for another reason: Life’s greatest joy comes from knowing Christ and following Him. Listen: Jesus didn’t come to make us miserable and squeeze all the joy out of life. Jesus came instead to fulfill our lives and make us into the joyous people God wants us to be.

Be grateful for your cousin’s concern. But most of all, respond to God’s call by giving your life to Jesus Christ. You’ll never regret it—and it’s the most important decision you will ever make.

Have you ever wondered why God placed us on this planet? What our purpose is in being here? It is because God is love. There may be life on other planets, but I believe man is unique in the sense that he was created in the image of God. God created on this planet as it were “little gods” whom He could love and who would return love to Him. Reverently speaking, God was lonely. He wanted someone to love and who would return love to Him. That sounds incredible, but the Bible tells us that God loved, and so He created and put us on this planet.

We must be careful not to allow our hands to be soiled. Our hearts, our emotions must not be soiled. We must keep ourselves from things that can defile our garments if we must be fit for God's kingdom. Keep yourself pure. Do not soil your garment with the things of this age so you do not become greatly reduced in "value" before God. Those whose value is reduced are not worthy of God.

We are learning the danger of focusing on oneself .The danger of self love.The Greek youth Nasrcissus saw his own image in the waters of a pond,He fell in love with it and when he found out that the image was his own reflection,and that he could not imaging his love for himself,he despaired and drowned himself.The word of God says thus: He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.(John 12.25).The problem with too many people is their over-love of themselves.In ancient Greek mythology,the hero Persus killed Gorgon medusa using the mirror effect.How did he do it? Medusa had the hair of serpents,protruding tongues and massive teeth.Such a dreadful creature, how could one deal with her? .Persus shined his bronze shield to create a mirror effect and then focused it on Medusa.She was so consumed by her own reflection,not mindful of the presence of Persus.She focused on herself and so the mighty dreadful woman was killed.Esau in the Bible was only bothered with his body,he could not imagine himself go hungry, he could not endure hardship of his own body for a moment and so he sold his own birthright.Dear friend,Jesus Christ did not love his life even till the point of death on the cross,and that was why He became highly exalted.If we want power from God and real success in life,we must not focus attention only on ourselves,we must look also into helping others,carrying their burdens as much as we can.God bless you.

2 Samuel 7:27. ''For thou, O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, hast revealed to thy servant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto thee.''
This was David coming to God after God directed Nathan to tell him that his household would be established forever by God because David conceived in his heart to build a house for the Ark of Covenant (the presence of God). David was meek and spiritually alive enough to understand that he could not have had such a "good" intention conceived within him but by the grace and power of Gods revelation to him and so did the right thing in acknowledging God for his (David) well conceived prayer to God to build a house for the Ark.

How often have we had a good idea planted in our hearts by God and then gone ahead after execution to assume the airs that say, "I did this or that because I am a noble and good man and know how to do good deeds"? When we understand that there is none good but the Father and that any good that comes into and out of us is a revelation to us from God for his good purpose by grace, we will more likely depart from our proud assumptions about ourselves and learn true humility that comes from understanding that any good that comes into and out of our lives is by the special favor and grace of God.
Believe me, in that state of being, we will see the blessings and mercies of God flow more abundantly in our lives and we will be more sensitive and compassionate to others who have yet to experience such levels of grace and favor (because we then know that we have experienced it not because we earned it but but by grace.....sort of like a person born into a wealthy family when he/she actually wasn't in any position to determine that or vice Versa).

During the service today,he spoke just for about 10 minutes, because the whole time allotted for preaching was actually taken over by the Holy Ghost who lead everyone including himself into deep worship and praise.It was an awesome moment! however ,for the brief time he spoke,he talked about how Praise and Worship can help any true worshiper achieve the following;
1.Breaking of chains and improving quality of life.He made reference to Paul and Silas while in prison in Acts 16.25-34.The quality of the life of a prisoner is usually a debased and low keyed one, but for the deep praise and worship made by Paul and Silas,their chains were broken and they were made free from a low quality life into a life of freedom and glory.
2.In Acts 13.2 'While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” ESV.What it implies is that when you engage in praise and worship to God,your purpose in life shall be revealed to you.It is very important for each of us to have direction and know our purpose in life.Praise can enable you achieve that.

I read the story as reported by Punch,but I do not really believe it in totality,probably out of sentiment and admiration for the Pastor's achievement and grace.My feeling may be right or it may be wrong,God knows better.However dear friend,Whenever we hear of this kind of allegation, it is for us to pray for the leaders and not to continue to deride or castigate them or be discouraged from following the Lord further.But one thing I usually think about is this; Why is it that some notable pastors have never been accused of this kind of scandal since inception of their pastoral calling?,we have never heard of this kind said of Pastor Adeboye of the Redeemed Church,Evangelist Billy Graham,Pastor Kumuyi of the Deeper Life and the rest.Don't you think that there might be a lot to learn from these uncontroversial pastors more than others?What actually makes some pastors seem controversial and some are not? we need to find out.
