IT IS EQUALLY A WOMAN'S WORLD-Adebowale Ibukun Oluwatosin

Adebowale Ibukun Oluwatosin
The woman is given to the man as a help meet and not as a house slave. This has always been my belief and in this way I relate with my wife at home. The following piece from Adebowale Ibukun is quite in line with what the Scripture teaches us about the woman/man relationship.God bless you as you read. A recent event triggered the memory of this story that really got me thinking. Here I was in a duplex I rented in Accra, as the only male in the house and here comes my landlord to preside over a meeting with all tenants. How will you clean the common room? He asked. I came up with a plan to draw a table to rotate it amongst ourselves and he said to me, 'You are a man', let the ladies decide amongst themselves.
You know the amazing part of it? I was the only student. They were all graduates, working class ladies, who leave home early and get back late used up, but all that didn't matter, as long as I'm a man they had to sweep the floor while I inspect. Honestly, that day it dawned on me that something is really wrong with the mind of the average African man. Something is really wrong.
And you know the baffling thing? The ladies didn't protest! They really were going to agree until I spoke up. I mean, we all pay same money and use the apartment equally but being a man makes me free from being responsible in taking care of house? How did we get here?! This is sick! I can't imagine having daughters

YOU ARE SOMETIMES LIKE THAT! -Olusa Bamidele Emmanuel

If we involve God full time and at the onset in our ministry, career, businesses, jobs, family life etc,it will take us less efforts to succeed .But if we depend on our strategies and human wisdom,we shall soon become exhausted.Read this following short article from a friend and brother Olusa Bamidele Emmanuel from Nigeria
YOU ARE SOMETIMES LIKE THAT.
Something very funny happened yesterday evening, my children were trying to carry a particular load from one place to another, they were full of zest and being two they felt they could do it all by themselves without involving me, when they discovered they couldn't do it they beckoned on our neighbour's child for support, the three of them tried but to no avail, so when they discovered that it was falling down on them they quickly shouted DADDY, all the while I was sitting somewhere not too far away from them hoping to see how far they could go without asking for my help and I was enjoying their drama but the moment they saw they couldn't go far with it they called on me for help and I did help them without much effort, after helping them they all bursted into laughter and I too joined them in doing so.
As I was considering what the children did, 1. if they had involved me from the beginning, it wouldn't have taken them that far before they accomplished the task. 2. I also thought that it would have been an opportunity for them to learn from me. So as I was pondering on their actions then God spoke to me in a plain language DO YOU KNOW YOU'RE SOMETIMES LIKE THAT ? I was shocked when I heard that, then God continued by saying many times you think you can solve life's problems with your own strength, wisdom and experience without me only to later realized the futility in your efforts then you call on me for help.
It was like I was hit with a heavy object and my heartbeat got increased and immediately I began to ask God for forgiveness.
Are you not sometimes like that, you think you can do it all by yourself forgetting that God is always willing and ready to help. Please and please let's stop depending on ourselves or friends but learn to defend on God's wisdom and strength to solve all life's problems. Thank you.

BILLY GRAHAM WARNS BELIEVERS ABOUT GETTING INTO DEBT

Famed evangelist Billy Graham warned believers against jumping into debt by standing on New Testament wisdom.
Graham responded to a reader in a question-and-answer column:
"We're deep in debt because of our credit cards, and I don't think we'll ever get out. I guess it's just too easy to buy something with a card instead of digging up the cash. Please warn people about the dangers of debt, because it can really mess up your life. It sure has ours," the reader pleaded.
However, avoiding debt is not just about embracing a healthy financial portfolio, Graham says.
Thank you for your warning, and I hope many will heed it—because you're right: debt can be like a millstone around your neck. No wonder the Bible warns us against excessive debt, and tells us to "Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another" (Romans 13:8).

FRANKLIN GRAHAM REBUKES OBAMA FOR DEFENDING ISLAM

Evangelist Franklin Graham will no longer stand in complacency for President Barack Obama's apparent endorsement of Islam.

In a Facebook post, Graham wrote:
Mr. President, I read in the The New York Times today where you reportedly blasted Donald J. Trump for wanting to tighten the borders and accused him of painting a whole religion as violent.
A Muslim can murder 49 innocent people in a gay club, and you still defend the religion of Islam.
But a Christian who refuses to bake a homosexual's wedding cake endures prosecution, financial ruin, and nation-wide shaming because of their faith, and you stay silent!

I BEGGED GOD TO TAKE MY SOUL FROM MY BODY-ORLANDO SHOOTING SURVIVOR

When in the face of death, the worst of all sinners must remember God.The atheist must know that the almighty God exists. The question now is this; why would one wait till death comes so close before considering reconciling with God.The story is that of a 20 year old who was at the night club when the evil struck.God must have spared her life, gave her a second chance.Very touching story.

A CHRISTIAN MESSAGE TO HOMOSEXUAL AMERICANS IN THE WAKE OF THE ORLANDO SHOOTING

A man sits and cries after taking part in a candlelight memorial service the day after a mass shooting at the Pulse gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida
I know that many of you not only are hurting today, but you are also angry. And your anger is not just directed at the Muslim terrorist who slaughtered so many of your people. You are also angry with Christians like me, believing that we have helped to create the toxic, hateful atmosphere that led to the horrific massacre.
A gay activist in Charlotte, North Carolina, with whom I've shared meals and interacted many times, expressed his anger toward what he called the "sanctimonious (expletive)" of conservative Christian leaders, saying, "You helped cause this massacre. Your anti-LGBTQ theology assisted in helping others, including the Orlando shooter, in seeing each of our precious LGBTQ lives as dispensable and worthy of death. ... (Expletive) your prayers and y

JOEL OSTEEN ON WHY YOU DO NOT NEED TO ALLOW 'WORRY' TAKE OVER YOUR LIFE

A lot of people these days are professional worriers. They can multi-task: worry while taking a shower, worry while brushing their teeth, worry driving to work. It's easy to wake up in the middle of the night and find something to worry about.
I wonder how many things you're worried about that are never going to come to pass.
Somebody asked me if I could do anything over again, what would I do differently? I told them I would trust God more. I wouldn't lose sleep worried about the budgets, or worried if I was able to minister, or worried if people are going to like me. None of that worrying helped me to move one inch forward. When I look back over my life, most of the things I worried about never came to pass. I wasted a lot of time and energy being uptight.

JOEL OSTEEN ON ' MOVING FORWARD IN LIFE'

God works in seasons. He moves people into your life and moves people out. Here’s the key, not everybody can go where God is taking you. The higher you go, the tighter your circle will become and the more selective you have to be. God wants to take you further.

THE GREATEST ENEMY TO MARITAL SUCCESS IS SELFISHNESS; MARRIAGE ADVICE FROM BILLY GRAHAM

Ruth and Billy Graham were married for more than 60 years. Here they are by their fireplace at their home in Montreat, North Carolina.
Question:
My fiancé and I are getting married in a couple of months, and we're really looking forward to our lives together. But so many of our friends have already been through at least one divorce, and we don't want that to happen to us. How can we prevent it?
Answer:
The most important thing you can do is to build your marriage on God and His will for your lives. As my wife used to say, a strong marriage actually needs to include three people: the husband, the wife—and God.

5 WAYS PARENTS CAN UNINTENTIONALLY RUIN THEIR CHILD’S LIFE!

There are five parenting traps that many well-intentioned modern parents fall into without even knowing it.
“You’re mean!”
“You just don’t understand!”
Have you ever wondered if you are doing a terrible job as a parent? We’ve probably all thought that at one time or another. Parenting is a tough job; often times more art than science. Yet the unpopular parenting decisions you make are most likely contributing to your child’s health, not their detriment.
But there are five parenting traps that many well-intentioned modern parents fall into without even knowing it. These attitudes and behaviors easily go undetected because they are ingrained in the culture around us. Let’s consider five ways we as parents may be unwittingly ruining our kids:

1. Amusement as the highest priority.

We don’t want our children to be bored or to scream in public places, so we hand over an electronic device to amuse them. As this becomes the norm, your child learns to crave constant amusement and entertainment.
